    <content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I&#39;m aware of three candidates running for District 67 of the Kansas House. All three profess the Christian faith. Upon what basis will the candidates practice their faith if elected? I can&#39;t speak for the other candidates, but I pledge to do my best to base my decisions upon the principles taught by the Bible.  I just finished reading an excellent little article summarizing the contrasts between basing freedom and government upon the principles of Holy Scripture vs. the principles of humanistic systems, such as Economics, Natural Law, or Utilitarianism. In it, the late Dr. John Robbins (Ph.D. in Political Philosophy from Johns-Hopkins) honors the philosophy Dr. Hans Senholz, professor of Economics at Grove City College. This paper does a good job of summarizing a philosophy of government and freedom derived from the Bible, and represents my position well.     <summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>The state house is not intended to be a place for politicians, it is a place for ordinary citizens to represent what they believe.</p>
    ]]></summary>
    <content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>At times I wonder what I'm doing throwing my hat into the ring like this. What's a pastor without any formal legal training doing bidding for a seat in the state house? </p>
<p>But I think that's the point. In our state legislature, we need normal people from all walks of life: pastors, farmers, businessmen, educators, whatever, to represent the people of our state. Experience at being a legislator is not a qualification for this office, although it might be a good thing for a governor or judge.</p>
<p>It will be a challenge for me to leave my church for a few months to fulfill this office, but I believe it to be a worthwhile act of service to my community. I expect one term will be enough. I'll be glad to pass the baton in a future election to another servant-hearted leader.</p>

<p>1) Why are you running for the Legislature?</p>
<p><i>To provide an option for my community to vote for a man who is pro-life, free-market, and a Bible-believing Christian.</i></p>

<p>2) If you had the opportunity, what is the first bill you would like to submit in the 2011 session and why?</p>
<p><i>I am not in favor of creating more laws unless they would simplify or repeal current laws. I believe that the state should not micromanage its citizens by multiplying laws.</i></p>

<p>3) Do you support or oppose legislation that would allow for tax increases to be enacted only by a legislative supermajority or referendum? (i.e. either 3/5 or 2/3 vote of legislature for approval of a tax increase)</p>
<p><i>Oppose. Our state is already spending too much money on socialistic programs. These things need to be cut so that taxes don’t need to be raised.</i></p>

<p>4) When state revenues are less than state expenditures, which statement most accurately reflects your first priority.</p>
<p><i>Do not raise taxes, and cut spending.</i></p>

<p>If you would cut spending, are there any specific areas youwould cut? Why?</p>
<p><i>* Wealth redistribution programs - Private charity is more effective.<br />
* Invasive control measures over agriculture and business and industry – Businesses will do better without state micromanagement.</i></p>

<p>If you were to raise taxes, what specific taxes you would raise and why?</p>
<p><i>I am in favor of a flat tax rather than a graduated income tax. The state does not own its citizens and has no right to claim a percentage of their labor. Furthermore, the rich should be given the freedom to invest as they see fit rather than be forced to pay higher taxes.</i></p>

<p>5) What do you believe to be the most important issues facing the Kansas Legislature in the upcoming session?</p>
<p><i>1. Budget<br />
2. Abortion<br />
3. Social Aid Programs<br />

<p>6) Many Cities, Counties, and State agencies use tax dollars to hire lobbyists to lobby the Kansas Legislature. Do you believe this is a proper use of tax dollars and should such expenditures be disclosed to Kansas taxpayers? Why or why not?</p>
<p><i>While it is certainly reasonable to budget modestly for informative research and for legislators to seek information about their constituencies, legislators need unbiased research and information, so agency lobbyists are only of partial value. Such expenditures should certainly be public information, because it is an expenditure of public funds.</i></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>7) How do you believe Kansas Supreme Court Justices should be selected?</p>
<p><i>By the governor, as provided in the constitution.</i></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>8) If the rate of inflation (consumer price index), plus population growth in Kansas grew at 4%, what do you believe would be the appropriate percentage increase in state budget expenditures? Why?</p>
<p><i>At this point, I would not want to see the state budget increase, but rather trim fat. At some point, of course, once the budget is more conservatively set, it should grow with population. I would support measures to stop inflation.</i></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>9) Kansas economic growth has been lagging behind our neighboring states and annual population growth is stagnant at an average increase of less than one-half of one percent per year. As a legislator, how would you address these problems?</p>
<p><i>Lower taxes and get government out of business so there is more freedom to start new businesses and carry on established ones without mountains of paperwork, inspections, and taxes. There should, of course, be some level of regulation, but I believe what we currently have is too much.</i></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>10) The 2010 Legislature increased the state sales tax from 5.3% to 6.3% in part, to help fund a FY 2011 state general fund budget that increases spending by $204 million over FY 2010. Once implemented, Kansas will have the largest sales tax amongst neighboring states. (Nebraska is nest closest at 5.5%). Considering 33% of our population resides in a county bordering Missouri alone, do you support the decision of the Legislature?</p>
<p><i>No.</i></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>11) Do you have any other positions or information that would be of interest to the members of SFP-Kansas?</p>
<p><i>I believe there is a spiritual component to all this. There is a God who governs the affairs of man and who blesses those who love Him with all their heart. I believe I can lead in this as well as in the secular aspects of being a legislator.</i></p>

    <content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Nate would like to be your representative in the Kansas House of Representatives. With two decades of service in charitable organizations, including serving elementary and high school students at Camp Briarwood, serving college students through InterVarsity, serving church leaders in over 100 countries through Caleb Project, serving small business owners in Uganda through The TentMaker Project, and serving the community of Manhattan as pastor of Christ the Redeemer Church, Nate is uniquely qualified to serve the needs of District 67.</p>
<p>As a father of 10 children (the oldest of whom is enrolled at K-State!), and as the Vice President of the Manhattan CHIEF homeschool organization, Nate has a love and concern for the future generation of Kansans. He is also committed to supporting the right of life to all Kansans, including those yet unborn and those who are very old.</p>
<p>Nate believes in encouraging individual responsibility and allowing as much freedom as possible for people to work, pursue their dreams, live out their faith, and help each other. This means keeping laws few and simple. Nate is not inclined to pass new laws and restrict your freedoms further, especially not laws imposed by federal government agencies to micromanage farming, industry, health care, parenting, education, property ownership, gun ownership, etc. Nate does not believe that the government can give quality of life or jobs or even a good education. These are things that only the ingenuity of individual Americans can accomplish with God’s blessing. He would be pleased if Calvin Coolidge’s assessment of his Presidency could be said of Nate himself in the Kansas House: “Perhaps one of the most important accomplishments of my administration has been minding my own business.”</p>
<p>However, Nate believes that law has an important place in society, and he will support just laws which protect life and property, and which punish real crimes with just penalties. When government is limited like this, taxes will be low, and Nate likes low taxes! The Reform Party of Kansas is pleased to recommend Nate Wilson as Representative of the Kansas House for District 67.</p>

<p>Maintain the illusion of two opposing major parties that cooperate in the suppressing the message of political reform, especially by excluding us from state and national debates;</p>
<p>Help large companies to move their factories and offices to other countries, taking our jobs away;</p>
<p>Favor corporate over family farming. </p>
<p><b><i>Where we stand:</i></b></p>
<p><b>Illegal Immigration.</b>  Secure our borders and other points of entry against illegal crossings by aliens, drug smugglers, and other criminals.</p>
<p><b>Taxes.</b>  Create a new tax system that shall be fair, hassle-free, and simple for all.</p>
<p><b>Trade Policy.</b>  Promote fair trade, not free trade.  Export products, not jobs.  Eliminate agreements such as NAFTA and organizations such as the WTO that place the interests of multinational corporations ahead of those of U.S. Citizens.  Oppose FTAA and work to eliminate trade deficits.</p>
<p><b>Right-to-Life.</b>  Life begins at conception.  Future Americans should be protected and raised to love and appreciate freedom: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.</p>
<p><b>Term Limits.</b>  Support reasonable term limits in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives to eliminate career politicians.  We encourage citizens to participate, to keep a watchful eye on their elected representatives, and to run for office when they see self-interest harming the public good.</p>
<p><b>Education.</b>  Parents have the right and the duty to educate their children.  The state and federal governments shall not usurp the parents' authority, nor should they impose mandatory taxes for objectionable educational programs.</p>
<p><b>Second Amendment.</b>  We fully support the "right of the people to keep and bear arms," thus promoting safety for honest citizens and deterring criminal activity.  We oppose the despots who seek to infringe upon this right.</p>
<p><b>Farm Policy.</b>  We need to develop a farm policy that is fair to family farmers and puts an end to the land-grabbers who thrive on subsidies.</p>
<p><b>The Tenth Amendment.</b>  The ever growing power of the centralized federal government over the rightful powers of the states is specifically contradicted by the tenth amendment of the U.S. Constitution.  We call for the states to reclaim their proper responsibilities and to resist the constant enticement to give up their authority to the national government.</p>
<p><b>Campaign Finance Reform.</b>  Remove the McCain-Feingold Muzzle on the First Amendment and simplify the onerous reporting burden imposed upon candidates who accept contributions to run for elected office.</p>
<p><b>Vote Fraud.</b>  In elections, the votes cast mean almost nothing if the counting of the votes is controlled by a few.  We call for clear voting with verifiable paper ballots and object to the casting of intangible ballots using  computers, because they are highly susceptible to vote fraud.</p>
<p>Buy American.  Hire Americans.</p>

<p>Our nation was founded with the adoption of our Constitution. If you take the time to read it, you will find that it is a wonderful powerful document.  Oh, that right, you and I took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic. Unfortunately, until today we were the enemy.</p>
<p>Our Constitution delineated the rights of the people, powers of the Federal government and reserved all else to the individual states. Somewhere along the way, we all forgot about this. Each of you claims to carry a copy of the Constitution in your pocket. But have you read it? What about the Federalist papers, did you read those. </p>
<p>Too little emphasis and rhetoric is placed on politics. No emphasis is placed on the law of the land. That changes today.</p>
<p>Ron, I said no applause, I mean it.</p>
<p>I campaigned for change and was elected to lead this nation. I take that lead tonight.</p>
<p>Beginning right now, the job of this Congress is to fulfill the duties outlined in Article I of the Constitution. My job is to fulfill the duties outlined for me in Article II of the Constitution. The job of the justices of the Supreme Court is to fulfill the duties outlined in Article III of the Constitution.</p>
<p>Our Constitution created a system of checks and balances to any one branch of our government from becoming too powerful. We have not been diligent in using<br />
these checks and as a result our government is corrupt.</p>
<p>The Job of the Congress is: </p>
<p>To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the Defence and general Welfare of our nation.</p>
<p>To borrow money on the credit of the United States;</p>
<p>To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;</p>
<p>To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States;</p>
<p>To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures;</p>
<p>To provide for the Punishment of counterfeiting the Securities and current Coin of the United States;</p>
<p>To establish Post Offices and Post Roads;</p>
<p>To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings<br />
and Discoveries;</p>
<p>To constitute Tribunals inferior to the supreme Court;</p>
<p>To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offenses against the Law of Nations;</p>
<p>To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;</p>
<p>To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;</p>
<p>To provide and maintain a Navy;</p>
<p>To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces;</p>
<p>To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;</p>
<p>To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;</p>
<p>To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may, by Cession of particular States, and the acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of the Government of the United States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent<br />
of the Legislature of the State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of Forts, Magazines, Arsenals, dock-Yards, and other needful Buildings; And</p>
<p>To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.</p>
<p>The Senate shall provide advice and consent on appointments and have sole power to try impreachments.</p>
<p>These are a limited set of duties; my job will be to keep you within these boundaries. The Supreme Court will be the final check in the event we both fail.</p>
<p>So what does this mean? No more business as usual, The people have demanded a new sheriff and he just rode into town.</p>
<p>Let's take look at what you have been working on:</p>
<p>Health Care Reform - done - not going anything. Not in your purview.</p>
<p>Energy / Climate Control - done - not going anything. Not in your purview.</p>
<p>Stimulus - done - not in your purview. I am issuing an Executive Order demanding any unused funds be returned to the Treasury.</p>
<p>Bank &amp; Business Bailouts - done - not in your purview. The Treasury will be instructed to recover these funds immediately. </p>
<p>So what's next?  Beginning tomorrow the executive branch will begin a top down review of all government programs to determine the each programs constitutional mandate. The Tenth Amendment to Constitution states "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." If a program is not mandated it will be shut down, defunded on a reasonable schedule and returned to the responsibility of the states. </p>
<p>Within this review consideration will be given to  the phrases "general welfare" and "regulate commerce among states" in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution.  </p>
<p>The phrase, “general Welfare” does not authorize Congress to enact any laws it claims are in the “general Welfare” of the United States.  The phrase sets forth the requirement that all laws passed by Congress in Pursuance of the enumerated powers of the Constitution shall also be in the general Welfare of the United States.  This was affirmed by James Madison when he wrote: “With respect to the words “general welfare,” I have always regarded them as qualified by the detail of powers connected with them. To take them in a literal and unlimited sense would be a metamorphosis of the Constitution into a character which there is a host of proofs was not contemplated by its creators.”</p>
<p>The phrase "regulate commerce among states" only permits Congress to regulate trade among the states and does not permit Congress to regulate matters that merely affect commerce among the States.</p>
<p>Every department within the executive branch will complete this review within 15 days. All non-mandated programs will transitioned to the states within 6 months. </p>
<p>Yes, this means that thousands of government employees will lose their jobs. It is only fair, our current situation caused everyone to be threatened with job loss. Government jobs should be no different. </p>
<p>Yes, this means that some departments, education, energy and others will immediately go away. Our people demand it.</p>
<p>Even expenditures of foreign aid will be review. When our people are in need of relief, how can be giving relief to the world.</p>
<p>After shedding itself of all of these usurped responsibilities, our government will be leaner and agile. But our job will not yet be done. The days of the $800 dollar hammers must end. The executive branch will next undergo a top down review of every remaining budget item to determine the necessity and the cost effectiveness of the item. There will be no more waste. Each department will be asked to determine ways to cut spending.</p>
<p>The Congress should help in this process by providing fund only for constitutional purposes. I will do my part by vetoing any spending bill that contains provisions are not constitutionally mandated. While the Congress does have the power to override my veto, I have and will use the power to sue over the constitutionality of any vetoed provision.</p>
<p>The days of 1,000 or 2,000 pages bills are over. The people have spoken. My admonition to you is "keep it simple" and read it before you vote on it. One "shall" or "must", out of place, will cause a bill to be vetoed. I promise to the people, that I will read and understand every bill before I sign it into law. If it takes me 40 days to read and understand a bill it will sit on my desk for 40 days.</p>
<p>Today, our national debt stops growing. As reduce spending, we must begin to pay off our debt. The best way to accomplish this will be to revamp are tax system. So today, I ask the Congress to appoint a commission to determine a fair and uniform method of taxation and to report to me the results of this commission before the end of the year. This method of taxation must be constitutional, as the people are only legally obligated to pay taxes for unconstitutional purposes.</p>
<p>Once a revised system of taxation is place, the Congress will be asked to set a tax rate that will pay for all expenditures in the budget year that they occur and to pay 5% of the debt. No more deficits. The people can't live on IOU's. As a government we can't either.</p>
<p>These changes will bring about economic recovery, but we can't stop there. The Federal Reserve Bank is a beast out of control, working in secret. It controls our economy. I ask the Congress to establish a commission that will "Audit of the Fed", determine if our "fiat" currency is constitutional and in our nations interest. If this audit shows corruption, influence pedaling and illegally activity, then the Federal Reserve System should be disbanded.</p>
<p>We have a great deal of work ahead of us. Let's get to work. The American people are watching. I am watching and will be reporting the results of our work directly to the people. Good luck, God Bless, we are the hope of our nation. God Bless the united States of America."</p>
<p>He didn't say this and today we pay. November is coming and we must stand up and say "No". No to both Democrats and Republicans. The action taken in this speech must become the reality.</p>

<p>An Un-Constitutional Bill that Attempts to Impose Mandatory Personal Choices with Heavy Taxes and Punitive Fines and Prison Terms Outside the Limited Federal Powers Defined in the Constitution Does Not Become “Constitutional” simply because Bald-Faced Liars Say So.</p>

You must have known that Harry Reid's “Cash For Cloture” Scheme was Illegal, and you were Right.  Here is at least one federal law that he violated:</p>

Your “Cash For Cloture” Scheme to pass the Un-Constitutional Health Care Bill was not just Un-Ethical; it was also Illegal:

<p>Whoever makes or offers to make an expenditure to any person, either to vote or withhold his vote, or to vote for or against any candidate; and</p>
<p>Whoever solicits, accepts, or receives any such expenditure in consideration of his vote or the withholding of his vote:</p>
<p>Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both; and if the violation was willful, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.
</ul>
<p>In Addition, the Constitution states that federal spending is to be initiated in the House, and so making Political Promises of Federal Tax Money in the Senate is also Un-Constitutional.</p>
<p>I will be working with others in my state to Recall and/or Impeach the Senators who have Supported and Voted for this and other Un-Constitutional Bills and who have Violated the Constitution in Buying Votes.</p>
<p>It is also Outrageous that Patriotic American Voters are Forced to Spend “Family Time” in this Christmas Season to Instruct Our Elected Officials to Obey Their Oath of Office, which They have Sworn to Do.</p>
<p>I and others will not feel at all obliged to submit to Un-Constitutional, Un-Lawful, Tyrannical Regulations.</p>
<p>It is Not Too Late to Obey Your Oath of Office.  The Senators that Obey their Oath of Office will be Remembered and Treated as Heroes.  Those that Forswear their Oath will be Remembered and Treated and Traitors.</p>
