Issue Idea / Flyer Idea - We Need Mature, Responsible Candidates

We Need Mature, Responsible Candidates

a) Liberal politicians (as well as liberal lobbyists) seem intent of preventing traditional methods of effective child training.

b) Instead of controlling public spending to prevent going "bankrupt" (as we voting tax-payers would go broke if we over-spent our own budgets), spend-thrift legislators spend not only more money than they have - the taxes collected from us - but even more money than we have, as illustrated by the courts demanding 100s of millions more in taxes from us than even our representatives are willing to require of us and still show their faces for reelection.

Issue Idea - On Arrogant Officials Regarding Us as Their Ignorant Servants

Local policy makers, instead of performing public service, arrogate to themselves the role of omniscient landlord: they know so much more about homes, business, families, education, finance, etc., that they insist on being a party to most of your personal affairs, to the point of penalizing you for failing to approach them like docile children for their blessing on your ideas (and of course failing to offer your tribute to them in the form of fees and/or higher property taxes).

Issue Idea - On Career Politicians Serving Themselves

We pay (involuntarily through taxes) people to work on new ways to regulate our activity and are left with no money to support people who would help stay informed of these efforts and mobilize a large enough resistence to such new regulations.

Here and there, certain new proposals of regulations are shocking enough to cause a sufficient negative reaction to stop them for the moment. If that negative reaction can't be managed (by the media, normally) to prevent it from stopping the proposal, then it is simply tabled for later, when it can be tried again. Seldom is a second wave of negative reaction to a regulation large enough to stop it (or at to overcome attempts to manage the reaction).

IT’S THE LAW! Feds Pave the Way to TOLL and PRIVATIZE the Interstate Highways as Part of AMERICAN UNION

On July 29, 2005, President Bush signed a bill which permits and promotes the charging of tolls on existing and planned interstate highways, bridges, and tunnels. Before the passage of the bill, known as SAFETEA-LU, or “Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users”, it was generally illegal to charge tolls on roads built with Federal funds. What’s more, the tolls collected will be automatic, requiring universally compatible toll transponder tags on every vehicle.

SAFETEA-LU makes possible a variety of programs, all aimed at forcing Americans to pay to travel.

Why Reform Eminent Domain?

[This Post|Printable PDF|Printable Flyers]

Eminent Domain is the issue at our doors today. We know that "the power to tax is the power to destroy." A more direct and immediately destructive power is the power to condemn private property with Eminent Domain. The current abuse of Eminent Domain for private development calls for Reform! The Reform Party of Kansas is against the use of Eminent Domain for private development.

In a government "for the people, of the people, and by the people," the power of Eminent Domain in the hands of our elected officials must be carefully scrutinized by the electorate and only tolerated with great trepidation and disappointment that a mutually satisfactory agreement could not be reached - and then only for obviously public works.

The attempt to use Eminent Domain to condemn Jerry's Bike Shop did not come from the people. It came from the efforts of a private developer that could have directly negotiated with an existing, well-established, 25-year old Topeka business, or that could have adjusted their plans to work around such a business. To see this developer instead take their case to the city government with designs to become successful with another person's property and with "forward-looking" promises to the city of increased revenue is beyond words! That a city government would even consider such a proposal is outrageous: that one person's business should be handed over to another private entity for the advancement of all but the original owner!

Welcome Home!

Many corporate, national, and international groups are taking away our rights and freedoms for their own profit. They succeed in their goals to establish global fascist feudalism primarily by dividing us, pitting each of us against our neighbors, and by trapping us in vices that put our own passions at odds with our better judgement, keeping us from uniting for our common cause of protecting our freedoms from greedy, selfish tyrants.

Take a moment to look up and see the forces that are manipulating us for their own purposes. Please, Join Us in Reform. Click to sign up!

Chairman of 9/11 Whitewash Commission sets stage for Al Qaeda Nuke Attack

Thomas Kean, the chairman of the 9/11 Commission, gave a lecture at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas last Friday, March 31st. I was there covering the event for my local TV talk show, "The Simple Truth". A synopsis of my observations follows.

The question and answer session after the speech was anything but spontaneous. The students had been pre-selected and were prepped in a conference room before the presentation. I saw them coming out of the room, and asked one of them if they were going to be the students asking the questions. She said "yes". The Q & A was a fake.

Voting Pro-Life or Pro-Choice

PRO-LIFE or PRO-CHOICE

Every election year voters' emotions run high because politicians use two wedge issues to split the voters, trying to trick voters into voting for them. Conservative Republicans and a few Democrats proudly (and loudly) proclaim to be pro-life. While on the other hand Democrats (and a few Republicans) sheepishly proclaim to be pro-choice.

Millions cast their vote for these politicians just for these two issues. Most of these voters to not take into account what both parties are doing to hurt the very people that are voting for them.

"In Many Ways These Voters are Voting Against Themselves!"
