Foreign EntanglementsRon Paul - June 15 - Kansas City, MO - Uptown Theater2024-04-25 17:53 2024-04-25 17:53 US/Central Ron Paul [Items|Blog|Printable PDF Flyer] is talking in Kansas City, MO, at 5:30 PM on Friday, June 15th, 2007 at Uptown Theater. Ron Paul is the front-runner in the run for the 2008 Republican Presidential Nomination. He has basically won the first three televised debates (40% after MSNBC debate, roughly tied for first around 28% after the Fox debate, and 62% after the CNN debate). Ron Paul - Amnesty Opponents Are Not Un-AmericanAlthough the "reform" of immigration in the amnesty bill is enough to cause alarm, other highly troubling provisions are tucked away that will serve to undermine our sovereignty and weaken our civil liberties. According to the most recent version of the Senate bill, the misnamed Security and Prosperity Partnership for North America is to be "accelerated." It seems ironic that a project aiming to actually weaken US borders with Mexico and Canada would be added into a bill that purports to toughen border controls. Full article here: St. Joan of Arc: One of the Greatest Patriots in HistoryGary Melechinsky inspired me to make a page about Joan of Arc, I hope it lives up to his expectations. Below is a brief timeline of the life of this great Patriot. 1412 (?), Jan 6 - Joan of Arc was born Jehanne D’Arc at Domremy France to Jacques and Isabelle d'Arc, during the Truce of Leulinghen. Sporadic warfare continued between two rival French factions, the Armagnacs and Burgundians. 1413 - The Burgundians, including Joan's future judge, Pierre Cauchon, sparked the brutal Cabochien Revolt in Paris in an effort to gain power. Cauchon would be exiled as punishment for his role in this revolt. 1415 - The Truce of Leulinghen came to an end as Henry V invaded France, defeating the Armagnac-dominated French Royal army at the battle of Aginçourt. 1424 (?) - When Joan was about 12 years old, she began hearing "voices" of St. Michael, St. Catherine, and St. Margaret believing them to have been sent by God. These voices told her that it was her divine mission to free her country from the English and help the dauphin gain the French throne. They told her to cut her hair, dress in man's uniform and to pick up the arms. Ron Paul - The Price of Delaying the Inevitable in IraqThe growing demand by the American people for us to leave Iraq prompts the naysayers to predict disaster in the Middle East if we do. Of course, these merchants of fear are the same ones who predicted that invading and occupying Iraq would be a slam dunk operation; that we would be welcomed as liberators, and oil revenues would pay for the operation with minimal loss of American lives. Al Cronkrite - Be Specific: Label a Provable CulpritThere is confusion about who is responsible for the continued slide of United States into World Government and Totalitarianism. A reliable yard stick is needed. When Karl Marx and Frederick Engels wrote the Communist Manifesto they listed ten steps necessary to overthrow the free enterprise system. These principles have all become part of the fabric of the United States Government. 1st Plank of Communism: Abolish Private Property. This is being accomplished by land use laws, property taxes, zoning laws, environmental laws, etc. 2nd Plank of Communism: A heavy progressive income tax. There was NO income tax until 1913 when it began at 1%, never to go above 2%. What are you paying? Chuck Baldwin - George W. Bush Is GOP's Bill ClintonThose of you who heard my radio program back in 2001 know that I predicted then that George W. Bush would do to the Republican Party much the same thing that Bill Clinton did to the Democratic Party. However, I must confess, I could not then realize the magnitude of that prediction. Most of us remember that it was the election of Bill Clinton in 1992 that was the impetus for the Republican revolution of 1994. If you recall, a congressional election sweep of the magnitude of 1994 had not been seen in the previous seventy years. It is a truism that Bill Clinton helped to elect more Republicans than the Republican National Committee could ever dream about. Now, the same thing is happening with George W. Bush. In spades! Ron Paul - Fixing What's Wrong With IraqAs it turned out, Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction, no al-Qaeda activity, and no ability to attack the United States. Regardless of this, however, when we look at the original authorization for the use of force it is clearly obvious that our military has met both objectives. Our military very quickly removed the regime of Saddam Hussein, against whom the United Nations resolutions were targeted. A government approved by the United States has been elected in post-Saddam Iraq, fulfilling the first objective of the authorization.
