Do People Have Rights or Privileges?

Is There Such a Thing as Injustice?

Does a person have rights that he/she is entitled to or does he/she have (or lack) privileges that might be granted to him/her?

These are basically the same question which indirectly asks another question: What is the source of a person's "rights," where a "right" in this question merely means "something that the person feels he should be able to do without restriction."

Clearly the answer for the source of a "right" depends on the "right" in question and on whether it impedes significantly upon someone else's "right."

A person owns a right. Someone who deprives another of a right is stealing from him/her, which is an injustice.

A person merely borrows a privilege from another, who is basically free to revoke that privilege at any time.
